It’s no longer just the universities or the military—now, hospitals are getting caught red-handed pushing woke ideology on the taxpayer dime. A blistering new report by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity is sounding the alarm on five top medical institutions—Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic, Mass General, Mount Sinai, and UCSF—for allegedly spending millions on leftist nonsense while regular Americans struggle to get basic care.

What kind of nonsense? Think climate change task forces, “health equity” bureaucracies, pronoun workshops, and DEI departments bigger than some ICUs. And yes, your tax dollars are helping fund it. The same places charging $12,000 for a night in the ER are also bankrolling drag queen story hours for kids and “safe spaces” for staff who feel “emotionally wounded” by microaggressions.

The report slams these hospitals for using their non-profit status to rake in federal grants while engaging in what it calls “ideological mission creep.” In other words, they’re not just treating patients—they’re trying to cure America of its supposed whiteness, heteronormativity, and carbon footprint. One section claims these hospitals are “practicing politics, not medicine.”

Even worse? Many of these institutions are at the top of the healthcare food chain—setting trends and influencing policy nationwide.
