Marjorie Taylor-Greene Shuts Down Woke Legislation

On July 13, 2025, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) lit up the House Oversight Committee in classic Far From Woke fashion—by calling out woke nonsense right to its smug, progressive face. During a hearing meant to focus on education funding, the Democrats tried to hijack the conversation with a lecture on "inclusive terminology" and "gender-neutral language." Greene wasn’t having it.

“I’m here to represent real Americans, not to play word games with the woke police,” she snapped—instantly triggering the left side of the room into a meltdown. The outburst derailed the meeting for nearly 20 minutes, as Democrats demanded an apology. Greene refused. Savage.

What was supposed to be about budgets turned into a whine-fest over pronouns and “diverse materials.” Apparently, the left thinks schoolkids need more lectures about intersectionality and less about reading, writing, or, God forbid, math.

Greene’s clapback wasn’t just off-the-cuff either. She’s been on this crusade all year. Back in March, she introduced the English Language Unity Act (H.R.1862), pushing to make English the official language of the U.S. and put an end to the costly, chaotic multilingual circus. Naturally, the left shrieked “racism,” because they can’t go five minutes without playing the victim.

Online, the divide was hysterical. One progressive posted, “MTG’s obsession with ‘woke’ is just a dog whistle for intolerance.” Meanwhile, a conservative user wrote, “She’s calling out the nonsense—keep it up!”

Far From Woke verdict: Greene silenced the woke mob once again. No apology necessary.
