Gavin Newsom's White House Dreams Endanger Californians

Gavin Newsom's White House Dreams Endanger Californians

Gavin Newsom is back to his favorite trick—ignoring voters while chasing the presidency. In November 2024, Californians overwhelmingly passed Proposition 36, a law designed to finally crack down on repeat thieves and drug dealers. It was a rare moment of unity: the people demanded real accountability. But Newsom? He’s refusing to fully fund the measure, leaving it a toothless joke.

Republican State Senator Tony Strickland nailed it: “We want money for probation and accountability, and that’s what he doesn’t have in this program.” Instead of honoring the will of the people, Newsom’s rolling out flashy “crime suppression teams” that look good in photo ops but don’t actually solve anything.

Why? Because Gavin’s too busy daydreaming about Pennsylvania Avenue. Every day is another stunt to boost his brand for 2028. One day he’s playing woke champion, the next he’s tossing trans athletes under the bus to look “moderate.” He pivots more than a used car salesman.

Meanwhile, Californians are stuck with the crime, drugs, and chaos they voted to fix. Proposition 36 wasn’t ambiguous—it was a mandate. But Newsom’s ambition comes first, and the state he’s supposed to lead gets left behind.

Far From Woke verdict: Gavin’s holding California hostage for his presidential pipe dream. The voters spoke, but the governor’s too busy practicing his campaign speeches to listen.
