Killer’s Pardon Exposed: Hochul Protects Criminals, Not New Yorkers

Governor Kathy Hochul just proved once again that she’s more loyal to criminals than to law-abiding New Yorkers. In a move straight out of a bad political thriller, Hochul secretly pardoned Somchith Vatthanavong, a man convicted of shooting and killing someone during a 1988 Brooklyn pool hall fight. Why? To block his deportation. That’s right—she bent over backwards to protect a convicted killer from facing real consequences.
Even worse, Hochul tried to bury it. Unlike her other pardons, this one was kept under wraps until DHS blew the whistle. Classic shady politician move: brag about “justice” in public, but behind closed doors, cut deals for killers.
The hypocrisy is off the charts. Hochul constantly brags about “falling crime rates,” but what’s her solution? Protecting criminals who should’ve been deported decades ago. She even pulled the holier-than-thou card, using Bible talk about “forgiveness.” Voters aren’t buying the sermon—especially when their neighborhoods are drowning in crime and taxes.
A 2024 poll showed 70% of New Yorkers want tougher deportation enforcement, but Hochul clearly doesn’t care. She’s more interested in playing judge and jury while ignoring the everyday citizens getting crushed under high taxes and unsafe streets.
Far From Woke verdict: Hochul’s not governing—she’s auditioning for sainthood while New Yorkers pay the price.
